Created in 2008 to contrast the Gay Pride Flag and be specific to Equality Beyond Gender for Gay and Same Sex Marriage, and Marriage Equality, the symbol design is simplistic and in combination as a flag is easily recognizable and powerful with significant depth in meaning:
- White canvas for new beginnings, completeness, wholeness, and kindness in life.
- Interlocking rings depicting the union and commitment between two in marriage.
- Six main colors within the rings representing LGBTQ+ awareness and Pride.
- Symbol positioned forward indicating advancement toward equality in marriage.
